The FOV of the weapon on the screen (which is typically a separate FOV) appears to be hFOV (although still scales) and thus looks larger as your aspect ratio increases, so on 21:9 monitors or surround (48:9) it will feel as though it's too close simply because the weapon scale is giving that illusion.Īnd even if you think that 95 vFOV screenshot somehow looks OK - it's like looking through a fish bowel, still pictures don't do justice just how bad it is, 75 vFOV is about the limit. Ideally it would be better if the slider allowed from 45 - 65 degrees. Tired of driving in first person and not being able to see the whole road FOV helps solve that problem as well as greater vision when walking or aiming a w. IMO much past 100 on 16:9 (1920x1080) and it's going to starts looking quite fish eyed. You can use the following in Google, replacing vfov/width/height with your numbers: 2*atan(tan((vfov degrees)/2) * (width/height)) in degrees Move it all the way to the right to expand your horizontal first-person view to the maximum.Muh.
If you go to Options > Settings > Controls, you'll see a 'First Person On Foot Field of View' slider. GTA 5 PC Mods - First Person FOV ModThis GTA 5 PC Mod allows you to change the field of view when in first person mode. The FOV (at max slider) is not completely unreasonable by default, slightly low perhaps, it depends on your aspect ratio to some degree - the minimum on the slider is 45, maximum on the slider is 55 degrees. Awesomely, you can increase or decrease your field of view in first-person mode.
